Sweet Rose, Pilgrims Rest

Pilgrims Rest Cottages is a collection of three unique, award winning cottages that have been welcoming guests year round since 2009. This collection of cottages is located within the conservation area of Barton, one of the historic villages that make up the popular seaside town of Torquay, South Devon.

Originally the barns of a 15th Century Devon longhouse, 'The Old Manor Farmhouse', these handsome cob and stone buildings have been graded by English Heritage as a site of ‘National Importance’; now the oldest residency on the English Riviera with reputed links to The Spanish Armada .and the Prince of Orange becoming King no less!

Sweet Rose is one of three award winning barns at Pilgrims Rest. This quaint one bedroom property features a luxury roll top bath and king sized bed making it a relaxing and cosy place for a couple to stay and explore the English Riviera.

Sweet Rose is all about relaxing and unwinding. As you enter this lovingly restored cottage, you will find everything you need for a cosy space for two people. The open plan ground floor layout includes a sofa, dining table and kitchen area, while spiral stairs take up upstairs to the bedroom where you will find a super king size bed a a gorgeous roll top bath to enjoy a luxuriating soak with a glass of wine or champagne.

Choose from the sunny courtyard at the entrance of the properties, to a beautifully furnished orchard garden featuring an oak table and chairs, sun loungers to enjoy in those blissful summer evenings.

Notes

• Check in: 3pm C heck out: 10am
• Minimum nightly restrictions apply throughout the year, this may vary seasonally.
• A damages deposit of £200 will be held on your card 10 days before arrival and released 3 days after departure subject to the property and contents being left as it was found.
• Complimentary welcome provisions upon arrival
• Guest folder provided for the cottage with information on all the local attractions and walks etc
• No parties permitted
• No smoking or vaping permitted
• Noise to be kept to a minimum between 10pm - 8am
• Up to two dogs are welcome at no extra charge and all breeds and size of dog are welcome. Additional dogs may be permitted upon request. We simply ask that dogs do not use the upstairs areas and use any of the sofas (unless with use of a throw, Owners will need to bring their own throws for sofas for their four legged friends and ensure they are not left in the property unattended. The gardens are secure so long as the gate is closed and guests take responsibility for their pet at all times ensuring to pick up after them.
