Thank you so much for the great stay. Everything was perfect, the location was brilliant and every day we went to a different location, the host was very friendly. We are definitely going back.

This is a great barn for a family with dogs. Clean with al you could need. Ted is on hand to help if you need anything. The only thing he cannot control is the weather! Lovely stay with the hubby & our little Poppy, was her first every holiday and she loved it! Welcome hamper was great and we got a friendly welcome. Would recommend the Otter Inn for Sunday Carvery (12-3pm) but book first. Also Steaton Tramway is great and dogs are only £1.

Thank you Ted - we have had a lovely time. the barn is beautiful and has everything we could want - the hamper, delicious. So peaceful here - I stood in the field with our dog and heard NOTHING! We visited Sidmouth, Budleigh Salterton, Exmouth, Charmouth, Bridport (to see our Grandaughter) & Lyme Regis - all quiet and ours at this time of year! We will be back Ted - good wishes to you.

Lovely cottage, very well thought out. The best welcome pack ever, it wasn't the fresh fruit or the yummy homemade cake, it was the eggs. Daisy the dog suffers with allergies and these were perfect for adding to her dry biscuits.

An excellent cottage: spacious, well equipped, immaculate and welcoming. We can thoroughly recommend three dog friendly pubs: The Holt in Honiton, the Hare & Hounds on the Sidmouth road and The West Bay in west bay!

We had a wonderful Christmas here in Hunters Moon. You relax as soon as you walk into the warmth and comfort and decorated for Christmas too! It's so well equipped and very clean. Setting is lovely and peaceful and the cold frosty mornings so pretty. Stuart loved his daily chat to the chickens! Thanks Ted, you are a great host, yet another great Rural Retreats property. We would love to come back.

Thanks Ted for a lovely short break, helped by the warm weather, 18 degrees in Oct!!!! Branscombe and Beer beaches close by and worth a visit. Sidmouth also has a good beach and town. Welcome hamper generous and we really enjoyed the date and walnut cake!

We couldn't have been more fortunate with the weather, warm, sunny days all week. Visits to Bramscombe, Beer, Lyme Regis, Seaton and Exeter and as far away as Crewkerne! Once again, an extremely comfortable Rural Retreat in peaceful surroundings. Thank you Ted.

Wonderful stay at a beautiful property. We have stayed at a lot of Rural Retreats - always excellent. The barn is very cosy and homely - great attention to detail. Really appreciated the hamper and very warm welcome. We visited Lydford Gorge - about 50mins drive but well worth it - about 3 mile gorge walk - recommended! Loop from barn to Buckerell, then Feniton village and back is about 6.5k if you like running! Thanks for a very relaxing break and for organising the weather

A superb place to stay. Thank you Ted for being so attentive yet unobtrusive. We've had a really great week. The welcome hamper was very much appreciated-remarkably we managed to make the cake last until today (Thurs). Lovely days with our dogs on Dartmoor and the sandy beach at Exmouth. Fascinating demonstration of lace making in Honiton museum and the cafe 'Toast' is well worth a visit. So too is the Otter Inn though booking seems essential. The bill at the end of a lovely meal is a really pleasant surprise! Wishing those following enjoy this as much as we did.

What a great place to stay - the barn of course was beautiful and had everything we needed. The location is fabulous offering peace & quiet, but close to Sidmouth Folk Festival where we enjoyed the evening barn dances and soaked up the atmosphere of the streets. The trip to Exeter (only 30 mins drive away) was great for a cloudy day - we went to the Cathedral and to the museum RAMM - great for kids and adults - the collection vast and interestingly displayed which really makes you think. The Honiton show was tremendous - we bought award winning pies, cider, wicker baskets and...had to pass on the laying hens - gladly Ted bought four - we had no room in the car Thank you Ted for a terrific welcome and gorgeous barn for us to stay in. We loved the vast expanse of windows offering a great view. A great holiday thank you.
