Polly’s Place is a traditional three-bedroom fisherman’s cottage perched above Brixham harbour, set on one of the town’s most photogenic and historic streets. Thanks to its elevated position within Brixham’s natural harbour bowl, the cottage enjoys spectacular panoramic views across the harbour, marina and out to the Breakwater. Newly decorated and full of character, Polly’s Place offers a quintessential coastal escape just moments from Brixham’s vibrant harbour, independent shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants.
Inside, the cottage blends classic charm with modern comfort. The bright lounge with wood-burning stove provides a cosy retreat, while a separate snug at the rear of the property makes the most of the breathtaking sea views. The open-plan kitchen and dining area is ideal for relaxed self-catering, complete with a window seat overlooking the harbour. Upstairs, three bedrooms are arranged across the upper floors, including a stunning top-floor principal bedroom with en-suite, accessed via a steep spiral staircase.
Outside, the real highlight is the sun terrace overlooking the working harbour, where you can enjoy alfresco meals, evening drinks and ever-changing coastal views. With flexible sleeping arrangements, dog-friendly accommodation and unforgettable scenery, Polly’s Place is perfect for families, couples or friends seeking a classic Brixham coastal holiday at any time of year.

Accessed via a steep spiral staircase.

Location
Famous for fishing, art and those colourful houses lining the harbour, Brixham is one of the busiest fishing ports in the UK and is home to some of the finest sea food you can think of, but it isn’t just about fishing. Brixham is also rife with art and culture and has several unique attractions suitable for the whole family.
Brixham is a great destination for art lovers, the town has a great range of art galleries that feature local artists as well as showcasing visiting installations. On the Strand, you’ll even have the opportunity to see artists working.
The town also boasts a museum and tours around the coast so you can get a real taste of its maritime heritage. Brixham is the home of the Golden Hind replica, a recreation of Sir Francis Drake’s flagship. Visitors can experience life on board and explore all five decks, it’s a great exhibition for kids learning about the Tudors or for adults who want to find out a bit more about the UK’s history.
Being a fishing port, you can expect a great choice of seafood restaurants with many independent, local establishments offering menus made from fresh local produce. It isn’t all fish though, Brixham’s restaurants and cafes are also supplied by an excellent selection of butchers and green grocers. You’ll be spoilt for choice!
For walkers, The South West Coast Path will take you as far as your legs will carry you, and entertaining the little ones couldn’t be easier with Paignton Zoo, The Dartmouth Steam Railway and Splashdown @ Quay West all within a short drive.
