Set across four levels, Trade Winds feels like a cosy crow’s nest above the harbour, full of original features including exposed beams and stone walls that reflect its rich maritime history. Enter the cottage into the kitchen and dining area, where a well-equipped space awaits for easy self-catering. With an oven, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge, everything you need is on hand, while the dining table provides a sociable spot to gather and plan the day ahead.

Head through to the living space, where comfortable seating and a charming window seat create the perfect place to relax. From here, enjoy elevated harbour views as fishing boats drift in and out, bringing the rhythm of Brixham right into the heart of the home.

On the first floor, you’ll find the twin bedroom, a bright and comfortable space with two single beds and lovely sea views. The family bathroom is also located on this level and is fitted with a shower, wash basin and WC.

Climb to the top floor where the master bedroom offers a peaceful retreat beneath the eaves. Featuring a king-size bed, en-suite WC, and stunning harbour views, this room is the perfect place to unwind at the end of the day.

Please note, Trade Winds is a traditional fisherman’s cottage set over four floors, with steep winding staircases and some low beams typical of historic cottages.
Guests should take care on the stairs and use the handrails provided. Due to the layout, the cottage may not be suitable for toddlers or guests with limited mobility.
Private parking is included at Southern Quay, just across the harbour.

Location

Brixham is a thriving fishing town on the south Devon coast providing a wealth of locally owned restaurants, historic pubs and unique attractions. It is bursting with character while offering beautiful harbourside scenery. The Manor is Brixham’s oldest pub, and one of the oldest pubs in Devon, dating back to the 1600’s - a must visit and just a short stroll from the property. For keen walkers, you are also located right on the South West Coast Path.

Other attractions in Brixham include; the Heritage Museum, The Golden Hinde, Brixham fish market tour, and Greenway House, the home of Agatha Christie. For fresh local produce, visit Rock Fish restaurant, run by local chef Mitch Tonks, eat in or takeaway and enjoy harbourside. If you are visiting over Early May Bank Holiday weekend immerse yourself in the annual pirate festival! You can also take a boat trip from Brixham and explore other towns on the English Riviera and beyond.

Why not head to the beach, just 1.5 miles away, or visit Shoalshore Seawater Pool offering panoramic views of Torbay. Elberry Cove is a 10-minute drive away, a serene pebbled beach with crystal clear water, or head a little further afield to reach Paignton, with its large beach and bustling pier. In the other direction you will find Blackpool Sands, an award-winning single beach with water sport equipment for hire.

Torquay is around a 30-minute drive away with its bustling harbour, international marina, sandy beach, golf club and wonderful array of continental style cafes, restaurants and cocktail bars. Dartmouth is a short journey away via car or boat and offers a wealth of heritage and beauty along with wonderful eateries including The Seahorse,Angel, and Taylors, nearby you will also find The Watermans Arms, The Maltsters Arms, Hunters Lodge Inn and Durant Arms. While Dittisham has a number of water sports activities such as sailing lessons and paddle boarding.
