Full of period features, Hope Cottage showcases original stone walls, wooden flooring and the classic Brixham stable door entrance. Step inside and you’ll find two welcoming living spaces, perfect for relaxing after a day spent exploring Brixham’s bustling harbour, coastal paths and beaches. The first lounge offers comfortable seating for four set around a recently installed wood burner, creating a cosy atmosphere on cooler evenings. A Smart television and a vintage record player with a selection of records add to the cottage’s character and charm.
The second lounge and dining space provides additional room to unwind, with a large four-seater sofa, two armchairs, a Smart television and a gas fireplace. A charming dining alcove with seating for up to seven guests offers the perfect setting for family meals, board games or planning the next day’s adventures along the English Riviera.
To the rear of the cottage, the well-equipped galley kitchen is thoughtfully designed for home cooking, featuring a gas hob and oven, SMEG fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Guests will also find a Nespresso coffee machine, coffee grinder, milk frother and a full range of utensils and appliances, making it easy to prepare meals using fresh local produce. From the kitchen, doors lead out to a private courtyard garden, where a six-seater outdoor table and chairs provide a lovely spot for alfresco dining, morning coffee or evening drinks under the Devon sky.
Upstairs on the first floor are two beautifully presented bedrooms, each carefully restored to reflect the cottage’s heritage. The first bedroom features a king-size bed, original floorboards, bespoke window shutters and a wardrobe with a walk-in closet, offering both charm and practicality. The second bedroom provides a comfortable double bed, bedside tables with lamps and a hanging rail, along with a cosy window seat overlooking the rear courtyard.
The second floor reveals a charming twin bedroom tucked beneath the eaves, complete with bedside table, dressing table and traditional shutters. This room is best suited to children or teenagers due to its layout. The family bathroom is also located on this level and features a bath with overhead shower, WC, basin, heated towel rail and mirrored cabinet.

The Manor is Brixham’s oldest pub, and one of the oldest pubs in Devon, dating back to the 1600’s - a must visit and just a short stroll from the property. For keen walkers, you are also located right on the
South West Coast Path.
