I Vicki live near Heathrow. The peace and Tranquility of this stunning cottage and village is just amazing. Hearing nothing but Bird song is magical! The cottage is absolutely stunning. I love the way you have decorated it. The only thing I would add, is another lamp in the living room. I also love the touches of the Will and information on the house and village! What a wonderful place to live! I certainly hope to return sometime soon.

Beautiful original smugglers cottage beautifully furnished - loved the village and so close to other villages. Amanda and Craig are great hosts – they can’t do enough to help – the bed is to die for and the shower is the best we’ve had since arriving in the UK 4 weeks ago – go to the village of Beer for the best scampi and muscles – thank you both for your kindness.

A wonderful cosy haven! Beautiful hamper upon arrival and a lovely note from the hosts! Such a wonderful gift of local bubbly to help us celebrate our new marriage. Spent a few lovely days exploring locally - enjoyed the tram ride in Seaton and a beautiful breakfast at the Boston Tea party in Honiton. Strongly recommend a trip to the local farm shops for sausages, bacon and fabulous eggs! We will definitely be back, perhaps for an anniversary. So cosy, so clean, so quirky and fabulous. Thank you. We have loved staying in your gorgeous cottage ~ and I feel inspired now to go home and sort our house out!! Despite incredibly boggy fields we've had some great local walks, a visit to Branscombe ( and the forge) and cliffs, and a day out at Lyme Regis. Lovely Thai food at The Kings Arms too. Would love to stay again.

Such a lovely comfortable cottage with all the amenities you require We didn`t get out on so many walks as planned due to the rain but it wasn`t a problem as the cottage is so cosy and welcoming! The Kings Arms is great for food and friendly staff

Lots to do and see in a 10 mile(ish) radius , Lyme Regis , Sidmouth , Beer and the lovely gardens at Burrow Farm and Forde Abbey . we had a good meal at the local pub aswell !! Just perfect !

An idyllic place and generous hosts. The Barley Mow farm Shop is well stocked. There is fresh fish at the harbour in Beer and Lyme Regis. Excellent walking all around The Norman church at Branscombe is especially worthwhile. An outstanding discovery all round .

“What an absolute gem! The trouble is it’s ruined all other holiday rentals for us in the future, as I can’t imagine finding anywhere else as perfect in every way. Nice to know that Craig and Amanda are on hand if you need them. So many thoughtful touches - the fabulous hamper, but also the beautiful flowers in every room and the dog biscuits were greatly appreciated. Even though we didn’t have the best weather, we always looked forward to returning to K.H. to cosy up in front of the fire. Hopefully we’ll be able to return sometime to explore the area some more. Highly recommend the Kings Arms for a tasty Sunday lunch and good mid week menu too. The Candlelight Inn and The Cotley Arms, both near Chard, are lovely for something a little more special and both very dog friendly”

A stunning cottage to spend our “ mini moon “ in . Thank you for all the lovely little touches . Stockland is a very beautiful part of the world and we have had a fab few days . We only wish we were staying for longer ! There is lots of stunning scenery to discover nearby with plenty of walking to be had. We also found some excellent places to eat- Tytherliegh Arms was particularly good.

Quirky & comfortable cottage , well equipped for our stay. Courtyard garden was lovely for Bonnie. Recommend the Beer to Branscombe walk and the Donkey Sanctuary. Good local pub in the village, very friendly staff. All in all, a perfect long weekend Thank you Craig & Amanda

Gorgeous place to stay, great, helpful hosts . Lovely local pub & staff. Really enjoyed our stay , walk 3 from Stockland, walk from Beer to Branscombe….and back for a beer in Beer ! Charmouth was worth a visit as was Lyme Regis with its brewery and Lymes “ Fish & Chips” on the beach . We have had a great time and hope to return one day

A great week in a glorious area& lovely cottage, beautiful countryside. Made very welcome- thoughtful, helpful hosts & friendly village. Won a prize at the church raffle, delivered to the door ! Great tips from Craig- fabulous visit to Burrow Farm Gardens & Ford Abbey . Can also highly recommend RHS Rosemoor Gardens- a bit of a drive but absolutely worth the journey.

What a beautiful cottage in a lovely setting. Craig and Amanda have been amazing hosts and have not spared any details from the welcome hamper to plush Egyptian cotton towels and bathrobes. We have utterly enjoyed our stay. We cannot thank you enough!!

Cottage perfection!! We’ve explored this beautiful area- swimming at Branscombe & Beer , Lyme Regis & Charmouth. Forde Abbey was a lovely walk on our cooler days. Would have loved the Donkey Sanctuary but unfortunately closed due to ‘Covid’ . Another time.....

Amanda & Craig’s hospitality was most welcomed especially during these surreal times. We were warmly welcomed wherever we have been sharing this ‘ new norm’ , of note being the Kings Arms - you must try the cauliflower starter with peanut butter & chilli dip- yum ! Also the sausage & bacon bap on Budleigh Salterton , where the beach , sea & cliffs were amazing to see . We have loved the time to breathe and just be ...@ the Holt...Thank you

Have thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Kites Holt, one of the most tasteful and beautifully appointed cottages we have stayed in. Beautiful walks all around. Drove from the cottage and walked at Salcombe Hill and from Budleigh Salterton along the Otterton Estuary to Otterton Mill and back along the coast. Stockland is such an interesting village and Kites Holt provides the perfect base to explore the historic surroundings. Craig’s walks offer great choices and we were lucky enough to spot a marvellous group of Roe deer camouflaged in nearby woods. With the recent opening of the village pub, Kites Holt make the perfect retreat. Thank you.

Lovely quiet relaxed stay in a beautiful cottage.

We have had a fabulous couple of days at Kites Holt, a really lovely little cottage with luxurious bathroom and bedroom. Delicious hamper! Thank you! Visited the beautiful Forde Abbey and the even more beautiful Greenway. Both very dog friendly.

Absolutely lovely, great welcome, lovely hamper, superbly finished cottage +BT Sport so I could watch the Moto GP. We are rested and happy, thanks.

Wow what a hidden gem. Hidden because when coming from London the sat nav took us down single track lanes with grass in the middle caressing the bottom of my car! And gem because this 500 year old cottage is so full of character and beautifully and tastefully modernised. the cottage is one of the oldest in the hamlet of Stockland and possibly predating the church. It was wonderful on Monday to hear the church bells and sit in the nave in the twilight watching the bell ringers perpetuating the tradition of bell ringing for some 500years.
