A great birthday weekend with the family, enjoyed watching the sunrises, eating good food, playing board games and exploring the site in wind, rain and shine.

What a lovely cottage in an idyllic setting, had everything we could have wanted inside and out and finished off with the fog horn and rival the shower! Will hopefully return.

What a perfect place to spend Christmas! The solitude, comfort and location was idyllic. The mild, windy weather and cliff path walks were balanced with cosy hours in the cottage; painting, reading and just remembering how to break again. Wonderful!

When asked what I'd like to do with my 50th birthday I chose to return here! A favourite place with favourite people - It did not disappoint and dazzled my friends - Amazing coastline and walks, great eating and meals, beautiful sunrise and 1 day of perfect blue skies even in November. We loved watching the birds, fish and had an icy dip in the sea - watched by a seal! Some memories to draw on until our next visit.

We came back for another visit and it turns out last time really was a once in a lifetime opporTUNAty (We saw no tuna this time). However, it still very much got our SEAL of approval.

Lovely memories made, spectacular location, loved watching the tuna's jumping, dolphins and seals in the bay below. Recommend the walk to Mothecombe Beach for high spring hides and big waves. Walk via Hallsands, Beesands and lunch at Steet bay Inn is recommended, Dartmouth is worth a long day visit. So much happening on our little start point headland that we kept walking around the house window to window inside & out in case we missed something. Absolutely lovely, Cant wait to come back.

We had a lovely stay in the lighthouse! Yes, the fog horn challenged us a few times but the views, the landscape, the walks, the Tunas and Seals were worth it! Swimming with the seals is also fun. A really special place to stay! Words of Dani: Last evening of the holiday: outside it's stormy, the fog horn is on, raindrops running down the windows and I'm sitting here, reading, Ann Cleeves' and: it's great! Thanks

What an amazing few days! A lovely, comfortable fully equipped cottage in such a unique location. We arrived in mist and experienced the fog horn until 3.30am then we were awoken by the loud splashes - Tuna leaping outside in the sea on both sides of the cottages, seals nearby too. The weather has been superb every day. We can recommend the lighthouse tour, a long walk to The Cricket Inn at Beesands for lunch and day trips to Salcombe and Dartmouth. We're going hone for a rest! Thank you Trinity for a lovely holiday.

Gorgeous cottage with breathtaking views, we loved watching the seals, the birds and the fisherman! We walked the paths from the public parking and really enjoyed them! We cooked great meals, watched Poirot (after visiting Greenway's House) and had countless cups of coffee & tea on the outdoor patio. We will miss this piece of heaven, but we have so many photos to cherish.

Lovely comfortable cottage with amazing views, We have seen seals basking on the rocks. Good coastal path walks although the sea when we reached it was freezing! Lighthouse tour worth a visit. The sea mist has been quite thick this week and so endured three nights of the fog horn sounding every 20 seconds. We have enjoyed our stay here. Thank you.

Back to our favourite holiday place. We've had beautiful weather - sunny and cooled by the wind. Glad the lighthouse tours have resumed. A 'must do'. Did lots of swimming (often accompanied by the seals, especially 2 pups), and climbing over the rocks. Tried to consciously do different things - can recommend Gara Rock Hotel - Mill Bay, and loop back around costal pathwalk. Such a special place in the world, thank you for our immaculately clean cottage.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in this beautiful cottage. Many thanks for giving us this opportunity to experience life in a lighthouse environment. A unique location, steeped in history and dignity. The cottage is wonderfully comfortable and welcome, and we have learnt so much about the area by walking to Slapton and Prawle.

What a welcome, what a location! This place speaks for itself and we have loved this being our home for the weekend! The christmas trees and decorations were an added bonus! The sunrise amongst the fishermen and the tuna fish feasting on their breakwast was a truly memorable highlight! Our first stay in a light house!

Our third visit to the beautiful isolation of Start Point , and it has lost none of it`s comfort and uniqueness . We have experienced blue sky days ,majestic seas , stunning seascapes and the first spring wild flowers . Challenging coastal walks have been terminated with games on the beach and a chance for " Lucy " to enjoy the waves. Thank you for our " welcome hamper " and another wonderful stay.

We had an amazing stay and were lucky and happy to see wildlife such as seals and birds of prey up close. The location was amazing. We walked to East Prawle one day... make sure you are fit enough! I think I nearly died on the uphill but it was well worth it! The tour of the lighthouse is well worth it!

We came for our honeymoon. We had a lighthouse theme for our wedding as J is a potter who makes lighthouses out of ceramic. We could not have wished for a better time at all. The weather was wonderful, the cottage fantastic. Memories made for the rest of our lives. We will be back. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Came as a surprise 40th birthday break for J as she (we) have always wanted to do a stay at a lighthouse. Could not have picked a better one! Breathtaking views, amazing lighthouse, fantastic cottage, great hamper! Had the foghorn but though it added to the charm. Not intrusive for me! Dogs enjoyed the walks (as we did). Can't wait for our daughter E to be old enough to join us here. Will definitely be back! Thanks to Steve and Fiona for a spotless cottage.

Thank you Steve and Fiona for a spotless house. Loads to see between sunrises and sunsets. We had a fantastic week with the weather. One spectacle we had on Monday 19th was thousands of House Martins around the lighthouse, waiting to migrate. The skies are fantastic. The ghost by the way is the extractor fan in the bathroom? .... or is it?

What an exceptional location & accommodation. Only 3 short days, we enjoyed a wonderful and peaceful break. The cottage is immaculate well kitted out and very cosy during winter storms. A fabulous location with wonderful seclusion and brilliant company has led to a few days escaping our busy lives. Hugh did a super tour of "our" lighthouse and we had some lovely trips out (Dartmoor's Food Festival, Plymouth's Hoe, Kingsbridge and the fashionable Salcombe). We enjoyed the wildlife and saw seals, slow worms and kestrels on our walk. Our two dogs loved their busy days and walked and wagged all day long, they even settled quickly into the stricter regime of no naps on beds and not walking off cliff edges. Overall a really cool holiday with plenty of beaches and good food. We loved the local produce in the hamper that stimulated us to buy local produce throughout our stay - Ruddy's fudge, yum, yum. Heard the fog horn too. S & D, Birmingham

Our family have spent four days in this lovely cottage. The interior is of a very high standard and all the home comforts are catered for. There are some very interesting places to visit, one of our highlights was going to visit Agatha Christie's house. There is a very good pub nearby called the Start Bay, the food is excellent. We were also very luck to hear the fog horn go off three nights running. We will be returning. The A's, Brighton
