Set in breathtaking countryside, The Barn and The Byre at Yawlings offer the perfect rural escape, with sweeping views and peaceful surroundings. Tucked away in the charming hamlet of Holditch, they’re perfectly placed for exploring Axminster, Beaminster, and the Jurassic Coast at Lyme Regis.

Recently converted and beautifully styled, both properties sit just yards apart and each sleep four guests—making them ideal for families, couples, or friends holidaying together.

The Barn is a spacious, two-storey retreat blending modern comfort with rustic charm. Enjoy cosy evenings by the wood-burning stove, cook and dine in the bright open-plan living space, and unwind in the impressive king-size master suite complete with seating area, dressing space, and luxurious roll-top bath. A twin bedroom with en-suite, sunny courtyard, and generous lawn with fruit trees complete this idyllic stay.

The Byre is a stylish single-storey barn conversion with a relaxed, open-plan layout and underfloor heating throughout. Light-filled interiors, a wood-burning stove, and sliding doors create a seamless indoor-outdoor feel. Two flexible bedrooms (king or twin), a sleek en-suite, and a spa-like bathroom with freestanding bath offer comfort and flexibility. Outside, a private terrace and lawn invite you to dine al fresco and soak up the views.

Guests occupying The Barn and The Byre are able to dine and relax together in comfort in The Byre and you will have the pleasure of enjoying the extensive outside space, and peaceful setting at Yawlings.

The popular seaside towns of Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Sidmouth and Seaton are all just a pleasant drive away, and its wonderful location makes Yawlings Farm perfect for up to eight guests looking to enjoy a memorable family holiday, or a break away with friends.

Children and infants welcome. Travel cot and highchair available on request (please provide your own cot linen).
Four well-behaved dogs welcome, two in each property (additional charge).
The bedding is non feather.
Please be aware that the decorative cushions on the sofas and beds are feather.
A hairdryer is provided in bedroom one in both properties.
Off-road parking available for four cars. Please do not park in front of the main house, thank you.

Set on the River Axe and within the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, nearby Axminster boasts many independent shops, cafes and restaurants and there is plenty to explore. The Axminster Country Market takes place every Thursday at the Masonic Hall from 8:30am until noon. With local producers of craft, food, plants, and vegetables as well as unique gifts and hampers. Axminster Heritage Centre will provide you with all the history Axminster holds.

Tytherleigh is a six minute drive from Holditch, home to The Tytherleigh Arms, a family run restaurant providing fantastic food cooked to order, with the best seasonal and locally sourced produce and local real ales (booking is essential to avoid any disappointment!). Tytherleigh is also home to The Farm Shop, providing local produce, beautiful home cooked lunches and cakes! There is always something new and different at The Farm Shop, so it is best to keep track on social media!

Just 3 miles away is the stunning Forde Abbey Historic House & Gardens, a great place to visit for all of the family with over 30 acres of award winning gardens, and the highest powered fountain in England.

A 20-minute drive away is the bustling and popular seaside town of Lyme Regis, famous for its Cobb, dinosaur and fossil museum; and beaches.

12 minutes away, Chard provides you with the bigger supermarkets and chain shops as well has several independent cafes and restaurants. The town is surrounded by countryside and plenty of places to visit for all the family, such as the Chard Museum, sharing all the history and knowledge of the town.

The Byre is situated 30 minutes away from the Jurassic Coast, providing several walks with beautiful views with plenty of activities for all to enjoy. Visit Fairlynch Museum (open from April - October) showcasing points of local history and nationally important costume and geological collections.

Sidmouth Museum offers something for everyone, with an extensive collection of fossils, minerals and rocks, many of which are from the Sidmouth Area.
