We have had a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend visit at this lovely cottage. It is a great location - with easy access to walks - and we used the local buses so we weren't restricted to circular walks. A very comfortable and relaxing cottage - and we enjoyed the sun-trap table for evening drinks! Had a lovely meal at The Hive at Burton Bradstock.

Perfect location in a delightful cottage and really lucky to dodge most of the heavy showers and enjoy the Autumn sunshine! Wrong end of the year to find fossils, as the beaches have been "picked clean" ??? but fun trying!
Great walks, stunning scenery, beautiful beaches and yummy food, especially the fresh fish. Both the George & the Royal Oak great for food & friendly staff. Sidmouth, Seaton (+ tram), Lyme Regis, and West Bay all worth a visit. Local ciders & beers a must, & clotted cream ice creams delicious in any weather!

We spent most of our short break on both beaches. Great location, so close. Dog loved running on the beach but closest we came to fossils was in the shop! Good market in Bridport on Saturday. Meads Cottage was10 out of 10!

We've had a lovely stay in your quaint, perfectly located cosy cottage. A great find! Everything we needed for self catering was provided. Wonderful farm shop10 mins drive with great café – Felicity's. Lyme Regis is a charming seaside town and plenty to explore as well as wonderful coastal walks. Fantastic bus service. We used M Cabs for later returns as bus finishes around 7. Would recommend Alexandra's Hotel restaurant, we had a lovely celebration meal overlooking the garden to the sea. Beautifully clean & stylish accommodation.

What a fabulous, quaint and cosy cottage! We really loved our stay here – wish we could have stayed longer than a week! The cottage is spacious, comfy, has everything one could need and we love the beautiful decor.
We didn’t use the car at all – we walked along the coastal path to Seatown, then took the bus back. We also did a guided fossil walk with Fossilwise, Lyme Regis which is excellent – we learnt loads!
We fossil hunted everyday on Charmouth Beach (East, turning left over the little bridge). We found lots of beautiful little pyrite ammonites, despite it being summer and busy. So handy that the beach is just a few minutes walk from the cottage.
We ate in most nights – kitchen was spacious and also had a “full size” (not mini) fridge freezer. Highly recommend Zeus Café Greek by the little bridge / beach car park, and we also loved our fish & chips from up the road.
Thanks for a lovely stay and we hope to come again!

We've enjoyed a really relaxing week spent mainly in Charmouth, as the cottage and its proximity to the beaches and cliff walks has meant we've had little need to use the car. Our longest walk was along the cliffs to Seaton, or more locally via the low tide to Lyme Regis.
The cottage is really comfy and has been perfect for us. Our trip coincided with the annual scarecrow competition and the village party in the park, which was good fun.

We have had a wonderful time staying in your wonderful cottage. Everything is perfect here. It is an absolute gem of a property and we were so lucky being able to book it for the exact 4 night stretch we required.

Thank you for a lovely stay in your perfect cottage. It had everything we needed. Delightful to sit outside in the evening with a glass of wine. Spotlessly clean. Charmouth is a beautiful place...But where were the fossils? We had many a fruitless search! We'd love to return soon. Amazingly for us the weather was glorious!

Meads Cottage is beautiful and much bigger than we thought. Everything we needed was provided and the decor is very stylish and beautifully done. We came to Charmouth Fossil Hunting and spent most of our holiday on the beach. The cottage is perfectly situated a few minutes walk to the beach and a few minutes to the main street for groceries, bakery and fish & chips. We thoroughly recommend Meads Cottage for a holiday on the Jurassic Coast.

Charmouth in the heart of Jurassic Coast county, is an attractive village with enough interest to keep you happy for several days. Meads Cottage itself is situated only a few minutes walk from the water. It is a charming little cottage, really well decorated and presented with style and a lot of taste. We much enjoyed our short stay here.

A lovely cottage, location is great for exploring, especially if you haven't been to this beautiful coastline before. We have had a great time and the weather has been glorious the whole time. We were very fortunate to celebrate VE Day 80 with the locals and lighting a beacon. Hope to be back soon.

Charming cottage and moments from the most beautiful Heritage coastline. Driving through Charmouth, take the road to the sea and Meads Cottage is just before the tall Scots Pine ahead. We parked and immediately set off on foot to the sea. To our surprise we were jumping over rocks and pebbles a few minutes later - and fossils everywhere! One day we walked to Golden Cap. Take care to check the tide if walking along the beach towards Lyme. The cottage was welcoming, cosy, clean and comfortable with a good selection of books for holiday reading. The galley kitchen is spacious and practical. It was exactly where we wanted to be.
