Sympathetically restored to retain its original character, this charming adults-only retreat combines exposed beams, a striking vaulted ceiling and traditional cottage styling with modern comforts throughout.

Set on a smallholding with no livestock, The Old Piggery offers a wonderfully quiet base for couples or friends looking to slow down, enjoy the countryside and explore the North Devon coast.

At the heart of the property is the spacious living area, where the vaulted ceiling and exposed wooden beams create a real sense of character. Comfortable seating surrounds the impressive feature wood burner, making this a cosy place to settle in after a day exploring. A Smart TV provides entertainment for quieter evenings, while central heating ensures the cottage remains comfortable throughout the year.

The kitchen and dining area is well equipped for self-catering stays, with an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, air fryer, pod coffee machine, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The dining table provides a relaxed setting for breakfasts, leisurely dinners and evenings spent planning the next day’s adventures.

The Old Piggery offers two spacious bedrooms. Bedroom one has a king-size bed, while bedroom two has a generous double bed with king-size bedding. Both provide comfortable and restful spaces after days spent walking, exploring beaches or discovering the surrounding countryside.
The large bathroom is another lovely feature, with a freestanding roll-top bath and separate shower cubicle, giving guests the choice of a long soak or refreshing shower.

Outside, the property really comes into its own for guests travelling with dogs. The large enclosed rear garden is bordered by approximately four-foot fencing and includes a covered outdoor seating area, BBQ and heater, ideal for relaxed outdoor dining. Guests can also make use of a secure six-foot fenced orchard and a larger 2.5-acre enclosed grass field, providing plenty of space for four-legged companions to enjoy.

Private parking is available for two cars, with additional parking available if required. With prior notice, secure barn storage may also be available for bicycles, motorbikes or classic cars.

Bradworthy village is only a short drive away, while the wider area offers easy access to countryside walks, beaches, forests, moorland, cycle routes and the North Devon coast.
