Limpet Cottage is a quirky, character-filled, dog-friendly holiday home in the heart of Brixham’s famous harbour bowl. This charming period cottage, with its large bay windows and original features, offers stunning views of Brixham Harbour and the working fishing port beyond. Perfect for couples or small families, Limpet Cottage provides a cosy retreat while being just a short walk from the town’s shops, cafés, artisan quarter, and waterfront attractions.
Entering the property, you ascend a flight of six steps to the front door, leading to the ground floor where you’ll find a beautifully appointed double bedroom and a spacious family bathroom. From here, access the rear vestibule and tiered courtyard terrace - a lovely suntrap for morning coffee or after-dinner drinks. The vestibule also houses a washing machine and clothes airer, making this a practical choice for longer stays or those exploring the coastline.
Climb the stairs to the first floor, where a galley kitchen opens onto an open-plan living and dining area. The lounge features a large bay window with views over the rooftops to the inner and outer harbours, a feature fireplace, and comfortable seating - the perfect spot to unwind after a day of coastal adventures. The kitchen is well-equipped with modern appliances including an electric oven and hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso coffee maker, and a full range of utensils, crockery, and glassware. A round dining table for four sits in the bay window, offering uninterrupted harbour views during mealtimes.
The top floor loft bedroom, affectionately known as the “Peter Pan room,” features two single beds, a built-in wardrobe, bedside tables, a sink, and an en-suite WC. Guests will enjoy rooftop views across Brixham Harbour, adding a magical feel reminiscent of the town’s maritime history and the famous Golden Hind replica just moments away.
Limpet Cottage combines period charm with modern convenience and is ideal for those wanting to explore Brixham and the wider South Devon coastline. From the artisan cafés of Middle Street to the fresh fish market and the scenic stretches of the South West Coast Path, everything is within walking distance, making it a perfect base for a coastal holiday.

Please note: Limpet Cottage is not suitable for children under 6 or guests with mobility issues. Baby in moses basket welcome.
Access is limited to loading and unloading only. Guests can use the nearby car parks; Brixham Harbour Car Park or Middle Stree and town centre parking. On street parking may be available on a first come, first serve basis and we advise you check local restrictions.

Situated in Brixham Harbour Bowl, Limpet Cottage is in one of the town’s most sought-after locations. Guests are just a short stroll from the waterfront, the working fishing port, and the town’s artisan quarter on Middle Street, full of independent cafés, bakeries, and creative boutiques.
Brixham is famed for its maritime heritage, thriving fishing industry, and fresh seafood. Visitors can explore the Golden Hind replica, Brixham Heritage Museum, and the harbour’s daily fish market. Food lovers will also enjoy the wide choice of harbour front restaurants serving locally caught seafood.
The cottage is within walking distance of multiple beaches, including Breakwater Beach, Shoalstone Beach & Pool, and Fishcombe Cove, ideal for swimming, sunbathing, or coastal walks.
